One of these pulp colours are made from toilet roll tubes and the other is dyed with turmeric and a little bit of green paper. This gives a good contrast. The grey is like cityscapes, concrete or slate but but green is vibrant. I'm unsure of it. The vibrancy is appealing but it isn't a natural green and so I'm not sure it will work.

With this sheet of paper (in progress) I first laid down the green and then the seeds in hope that they will set better in to the paper. Instead the seeds and green paper floated and the seeds tried to escape the deckle and mold.

Here's a tester sheet ready to hang on my indoor washing line:

I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Hello =)

Last week I started to slow down at college and felt a bit poorly. That's what happens when you knit on the busses to and from college every day and get travel sick from all the speed bumps!

Anyway, the knitting has nothing to do with my Postcard for the People project. This week I feel I've come on in leaps and bounds. And it's only Tuesday...

Hello!

It's great to be back to work after the holidays.

So far in Central HQ we've all been weighing up our individual themes and ideas.

I'm thinking about involving origami, paper making and growing. One artist is thinking about sound, another about nature. There's a lot of experimenting happening.

Hello, I'm Cherise.
In the following weeks I hope to keep this page updated on what I'm working on for the Commission Project called Postcards for the People in which I will give away free art.
